Description
A large brown Alaskan grizzly bear stands in a fast moving waterfall during the salmon run. Grizzly bears are omnivores with their diet consisting grass, berries, deer, elk, insects, plant roots, and, of course fish. What they eat depends on where they live and what is available. They must eat a lot in the summer to be able to survive the severe winter months that lie ahead. They normally are solitary animals but tolerate each other during the salmon run with an abundance of food for all although the best spots on the falls are protected by the strongest of the group.
